Newcomers to the McLAIN FAMILY
BAND are NANCY McLAIN, 14, already
a veteran with the bass and TIM OWEN,
20, proficient on banjo, mandolin and
guitar and bass. RUTH is adding mandolin
to her skills. The group’s plans sound a lot
like their usual: a 10-day performing tour
of Mexico in January and then a semester
of weekend performances between classes
& radio programs. In addition, they will
be getting their newly acquired 90 acre
farm on the Kentucky River in shape for
the second McLAIN FAMILY BAND
FAMILY FESTIVAL to be held the third
