This good-condition Troubadour 1st generation concert tension 36-string lever harp is highly recommended by many teachers & professional harpists. It is the original model 1st generation in Ebony color, well cared for, was built in 1974, and is in ready to be restrung. I flew with it from the west coast to the east coast on an airplane, but ended up not having time to play it anymore. Here is some information from Lyon & Healy's Chicago office:
The Sitka Spruce wood used in the soundboard is the same high-grade wood used tin Lyon & Healy professional pedal harp. It comes with a tuning key and a Lyon and Healy pedal harp dolly is also available for sale. Parts (I.e. replacement levers, strings) are still available from Virginia Harp Center or Lyon and Healy Chicago office directly. The original retail price was about ,700 (in 2021 dollars).
A Lyon & Healy pedal harp dolly is also available for sale. We have successfully used it to transport this lever harp, however it can also accommodate taller, heavier pedal harps. This pre-owned, sturdy 2-wheel harp dolly allows you to easily transport your harp. It stands 44" tall with 10" diameter wheels and a 4.5" deep and 16 3/4 wide tray. Padded straps with buckles secure your harp in place for transportation.
I am a woodwind player but will try to answer orchestra questions as best as I can.
