    Description

I have no idea what these dolls are or who made them.  I am thinking they are some sort of character dolls, possibly a queen and a king?  I couldn't find any marks on them.  Most likely the informaiton was on the bases, which are both missing.  And, as you can see, the man's shoes unfortunately got lost with his base.  They are approximately 14" tall and, as you can see, are dressed in VERY fancy sequined clothing.  The woman doll has a VERY fancy feather hat and is carrying a handbag (which I think might be missing something where the closure would be) in one hand and flower in the other (that could use a little work as well).  They both have very realistic faces, including wrinkles, etc. and their hands are also quite realistic. They appear to be made out of some sort of composite material (not glass or clay and not soft plastic).
Condition:  Other than missing their bases, they are actually in fairly good condition.  The feathers on the woman's hat are starting to disintegrate, but the hat is in overall nice condition.  The man's hat is in good condition and appears to be made out of felt with sequins on it that match his sequined suit.  The hair on the woman could use a little fixing and she is missing one earring.  And, as mentioned above, the poor man doll is shoeless and neither one has their original base.  There are metal spikes on both of them at the bottom, so they could easily be reattached to a base.  Also, as stated above,
These may not be worth listing, but I thought someone might know what they are and be interested in fixing them up.  As they are, they would still display nicely sitting on a shelf.  Please look at the photos carefully, as they are part of this description, and feel free to email with any questions.  I am always happy to send additional photos upon request.
